A better life and beautiful future for vulnerable girls
Join us to empower girls in Uganda’s Teso sub-region through education, health, and the love of Christ.
Who We Are
Mustard Seeds Faith Initiative Uganda is a Ugandan-based women's charity focused on empowering vulnerable girls in the Teso sub-region's poorest communities—including girls in school, teen mothers, and school drop-outs.
Our Mission
We strive to share the love of Christ with vulnerable girls and women through the distribution of washable sanitary pad kits and empowerment to further their education and life skills.
Our Vision
The overall goal is to ensure sustainable improvement in the quality of lives and distribute reusable sanitary pads to over 5,000 vulnerable women, especially girls at risk in Uganda.
History
The project was started in 2018 by a group of women in a Monday morning Bible study in Athens, Michigan. They began sewing washable, reusable sanitary pads and assembling a kit to provide basic feminine hygiene needs to the most vulnerable girls and women in Uganda so that they can stay in school.

Prayer
My vision, as the Lord affirms, is to continue making mission trips to Uganda to empower the women and girls by teaching, training and distributing what is needed to continue His work.
The ministry in the U.S. provides service opportunities and purpose in missions. I am looking forward to involving as many missionaries as possible so that together we can change the life of a sister, one at a time.

What We Do
We address psychological, spiritual, and material needs so girls can stay in school and build a better future.
Health & Hygiene
Produce and distribute washable sanitary pads to vulnerable girls in poor schools and communities. We offer household-based health services, menstrual health education, pad distribution, and peer health education through youth clubs.
Protection & Advocacy
Protect and advocate for women and girl-child rights. We deliver legal support, community protection mechanisms like watch groups and safe spaces, and work to create environments where girls can thrive.
Education & Life Skills
Educate and teach work and life skills. We provide career guidance, capacity-building, and support so girls can further their education—including sponsorship through the Mary Lane Scholarship Fund.
Psychosocial & Economic
Provide psychosocial support, mentoring, and economic empowerment. We run tailoring and sanitary pad-making projects and support self-esteem and resilience.
